As usual, the minivan picked us up at the guest house, drove us around 45 min to a marina in Cha long. After briefing, we were taken to the speedboat. There were about almost 40 of us in a small speedboat, so it was fairly packed. The ride was quite rough, it felt like a mini roller coaster, and all of us got wet through and through.

After 1 hour we arrived at maya bay, phi phi le, one of the smaller island of phi phi island. This is the place where they shot the beach movie (2000). From reviews, I have heard the place to be overcrowded with tourists, and indeed it was. Rows of speedboats dropping and picking their customers like us every few minutes. Although the place itself is very nice, powdery white sand, the nature and the blue sky, but the crowds ruin it all.

Then we passed by the Viking cave, but because the wave was really rough, everyone decided to not stay even for a photo. So we went straight to the money island. We didn't get off here, We just stayed on the front deck and throwing away bananas to the monkeys and spent only about 5 minutes

You kind of have no choice to hire the chairs because it was really hot, unless you have your own umbrella and someone minding your stuff.

Overall, I was really unhappy joining the phi phi island tour, because we went to very crowded places and the speedboat ride was quite unpleasant, we spent quite a lot of time on the boat and snorkeling. But the crowds was something I read so I wasn't surprised, however the speed boat came as a surprise.
So unless you like to get wet for the whole trip and snorkeling, I would suggest you avoid this tour or trip to phi phi island. Someone suggested Krabi is more beautiful. Anywhere in Phuket, avoid the crowds as much as you can
