Every festival must have performances. The Parramatta's Thai Festival on the river is no exception.

Here are some of the showcases of Thai products

I was surprised to see how similar the showcased Thai products to Indonesian and balinese products. Apart from batik, Thailand also have shadow puppet, which is called 'wayang' in Indonesian.

Here are some of the workshops featured in Loy Krathong Thai Festival 2012 held in Parramatta, Australia.

There are interesting if you are good with your hand and have patience.

The organizer made the festival as interactive as possible for all ages. There are around 30 stalls, where festival goers can view and buy some products, not all are thailand products. The food stalls are obviously the most popular and while the majority is Thai food, there is a few of standard western food style too like those can be found on weekend market around Sydney.

You may find 'similar' festival in Taiwan or China where they launch lantern over the sky or buoyant decoration made of flower and candle in the river.
I break down the Sydney Loy Krathong 2012 festival coverage in to 5 parts, but Worry Not! Mostly are photos, so please enjoy the photos, as well as my review.
