Gold coast

14 october 2008 flying from T2 domestic at 10.10 by JQ406, arrived at Gold coast Airport at 10.30AM. Cost $72

17 Ocober 2008 flying from Gold Coast Airport at 7.30 PM by JQ425, arrived at Sydney Domestic Airport at 9.55PM. Cost $52

Stayed at allegedly 4 star accommodation, Karana Palms Resort (07-5592 6708) at 40 Tarcoola Crescent, Chevron Island, Surfers Paradise, for 3 nights, total cost for 2 people is 255.00 so it cost me $127.50 for 3 nights. Very cheap, very clean self-contained unit-like accommodation. It has 1 reasonable size bedroom with queen size bed, a yard (if i'm not wrong), kitchen, living, room, a pool (very small, not enticing), barbeque area.

Other cost is shuttle bus from Gold coast airport to the doorstep of the resort, $18

4 days, 3 nights. 1 day we spent at Warner brothers studio, 1 day at Surfer's paradise, 1 day free...can't remember much for now

Made in Japan

Why China will never charm this blogger like Japan

The toilet that makes you want to live on it...be warned!

One of perks of being a lady, make up lounge, ladies only train carriage..uhm thats it perhaps ^__^

A love hotel - themed room where couples can discreetly stay for few hours or a night

Monorail - driver-less

Tatami room - living room/bed room

One of the bullet trains

The O-torii gate - low tide
The O-torii gate -high tide

The newest capsule hotel - ryokan style

7 Stones - Nijo castle

The Golden pavillion temple

A corner in Gion, a narrow street of old Kyoto

One of buildings in Kyoto Imperial Palace - check out the lattice-like ceiling

The recipient hall in Kyoto imperial palace - Meiji emperor, the grandfather of current emperor lived here

One of wall paintings in Kyoto imperial palace

The older capsule hotel

The yummy Okonomiyaki soft version

Tokyo Tower - half lights due to electricity saving

the monorail line - it is like a roller coaster minus the heart attack

Mountain Fuji - one of God Almighty's paintings

Old Japan has some style - simple, elegant and not over the top
Japanese maintain politeness and do not scold its customers
Japanese fashion is not tacky, its uniqueness is acknowledged
Japan can absorb the outside world's influence, make it their own and wow the world with the result
Japan is not snobbish for its achievements - it is a pioneer

Japan has its flaws of course but who doesn't. There is no place like Japan

Overplayed melodies in my ipod

They are worthy to be checked out, ...more love to Google and you tube

This photo has nothing to do with the title, but since I cannot even upload a preview of the melodies, I thought I have to at least put something here from private collection to liven up this small blog

The opera is teasing

21 Days

A holiday that did not feel like one
Because I feel like one of the locals
A yukata's pocket to store your stolen goods personal belongings

A Very Happy Feet

Love anything that makes me look like I am 5.5 feet, minus the pain

Where i found out that I have alto phobia

Not Europe, remember, we are still in an East Asian country

Cannot help by peace-ing every chance I get for the camera

something not to joke about

what I think is the door to the sewer is uniquely decorated in every cities - W.O.W

Just like any island...it has peaceful atmosphere to it, until I arrive...

According to Japanese (&Chinese) calender, I am 34...well take that calender, the ticket lady charged me a student price

I swear I think the country might be actually secretly run by women...they make everything cute and pretty, even the sewer cover

Told you...either they have too much time on their hands, working 20 hours a day or women rules there

What do you get if you mix a poodle and pikachu? Pikapood. or pipood, piddle, pikadle, poochu, chudle..whatever making you smile. This was my very first and own pikapood

Do you think I will blend in nicely if i go to area where local mafia hangs out wearing this?

There are two types of footwear I will never buy, high heels and a ghetta

So the rumor is true, on Tuesday night, around 10.30 PM, trains were still jammed with suit-clad people. And I thought I made a clever choice by avoiding the alleged rush hour..

The fingers just had to be there dont they..
