Made in Japan

Why China will never charm this blogger like Japan

The O-torii gate -high tide

The newest capsule hotel - ryokan style

7 Stones - Nijo castle

The Golden pavillion temple

A corner in Gion, a narrow street of old Kyoto

One of buildings in Kyoto Imperial Palace - check out the lattice-like ceiling

Old Japan has some style - simple, elegant and not over the top
Japanese maintain politeness and do not scold its customers
Japanese fashion is not tacky, its uniqueness is acknowledged
Japan can absorb the outside world's influence, make it their own and wow the world with the result
Japan is not snobbish for its achievements - it is a pioneer

Japan has its flaws of course but who doesn't. There is no place like Japan
